Nearly four thousand flood victims in Maputo city remain in accommodation centers, where they receive support in the form of food and basic materials. 

The information was shared yesterday by the spokesperson for the Council of State Representation Services, Piedade Mataveia, during the presentation of the balance of the Economic Plan and State Budget, according to "Notícias."

During this period, food, non-food products and building materials were distributed to the affected families, achieving a plan compliance rate of 189%.

"The floods caused the partial destruction of 172 houses, the total loss of 258 homes and the flooding of 10,647. In all, 49,761 people were affected, with seven deaths and one injured," he said.
