The President of the National Institute for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, Luísa Meque, guarantees that the conditions are being created in the accommodation centers to welcome the victims of the floods in Maputo province.

According to Meque, in these places, there are multisectoral teams working full-time to assist the victims.

"There is a very strong movement of people in Maputo province to support and show solidarity with the victims of this rainy season, especially here in Maputo province, and we hope that these people will continue with this solidarity," she said, quoted by RM.

The official was speaking this Monday after visiting the accommodation center opened at the administrative post of 3 de Fevereiro, in the Manhiça district, with around 500 people who are victims of flooding due to the rising flow of the Incomáti river.
