Three districts in Manica province could be declared free of the cholera outbreak in the next few days, an official health source in Manica said.
According to the chief medical officer of Manica province, these are the districts of Chimoio, Vanduzi and Tambara, which have not registered any cases of the disease caused by the cholera vibrio for around two months.
Flávio Roque was quoted by "O País" as saying that the district of Guro continues to register cases of cholera, but that the outbreak is under control.
It should be noted that since the outbreak of cholera in December last year, the health authorities in Manica province have recorded a cumulative of one hundred and ninety-five cases of the disease and three deaths.
