The national soccer team (Mambas) receives, next Sunday, Zambia, in the first leg of the first qualifying round for the African Indoor Championship-2023, which will take place in Algeria.

The game will mark the return of soccer to the Zimpeto National Stadium, after it was banned by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in September 2021 due to the poor condition of the turf.

The second leg meeting with Zambia, who recently won the COSAFA Tournament in South Africa, is scheduled for 28-29 of this month in Lusaka, capital of Zambia. If qualified, the Mambas will face the winner of the match between Zimbabwe and Malawi.
It should be noted that the CHAN is essentially aimed at players who play in local leagues.
