Mambas prepare "poison" to slaughter Rwanda

Mambas preparam “veneno” para abater o Ruanda

The National Football Team (Mambas) is already in the city of Johannesburg, South Africa, where it continues the preparation for the game against Rwanda, scheduled for 18:00 on Thursday, June 2, at the FNB Stadium. The match is on the first day of qualification for the CAN-2023, which will take place in Ivory Coast.

The "Mambas" will be complete between today and tomorrow, with the integration of the remaining players who play in foreign clubs. Dominguez and Kambala, respectively in Royal and Baroka of South Africa, and Reginaldo, in Dinamo Tirana (Albania), arrived yesterday in Johannesburg.

Bruno Langa of Chaves (Portugal), who is probably the last player missing, may join the rest of the team between today and tomorrow. Bruno Langa made the second play-off against Moreirense yesterday for qualification to the Portuguese first league.

The number of athletes playing abroad swelled on Saturday with the arrival, in the morning, of Geny Catamo, from Vitória de Guimarães (Portugal). In the evening of the same day joined the selection Reinildo, from Atlético de Madrid (Spain); Mexer, from Bordéus (France) and Gildo, from Amora (Portugal).

Ratifo, at CfR Pforzheim in Germany, was the first to join the "Mambas" last Tuesday; Zainadine Jr. and Clésio, at Marítimo, and Wit, at Nacional da Madeira, both Portuguese clubs, followed.

The national team has scheduled two sessions today (morning and afternoon), at the Wits University field (where Bidvest played), to improve the technical and tactical aspects of the game, given the game model that is being outlined for the face-off with the Rwandans.

Tomorrow (Tuesday) is reserved for adaptation training at the game site, at 18:00 hours, and they will have all morning and afternoon to address other aspects inherent to the challenge.

The "Mambas", who started with their preparation work last Monday, had ten sessions in Mozambique, including two control games with neighboring Eswatini (1-0) on Tuesday and the national champion Black Bulls (2-0) on Friday.
