Mambas conhecem adversários para o apuramento ao CAN 2025 nesta quinta-feira

This Thursday, the Mambas will meet their opponents in the qualifying phase for the African Nations Championship (CAN), which will take place in Morocco in December 2025.

The draw for the competition will take place this Thursday in Johannesburg, South Africa. The national team is expected to be in pot two before the draw is made, due to its current position in the FIFA rankings.

The 48 African teams at this stage will be divided into 12 groups of four teams each. The top two from each group will advance to the biggest soccer competition for African teams.

As hosts, Morocco is the only team guaranteed a place in this competition. The qualifying rounds for CAN begin in September this year.

The 35th edition of soccer's biggest festival will run from December 2025 to January 2026. In the last edition of CAN, in Ivory Coast, Mozambique finished in the group stage with two draws against Egypt and Ghana and a defeat against Cape Verde. (O País)
