O Portuguese Cultural Center in Maputo and Editora Cavalo do Mar invite all interested parties to join writer Nelson Saúte in presenting the book "Com a Saliva Muito ao Sul" by José Pastor.
The event will also feature speeches by Luís Lage, João Carlos Trindade, and Afonso dos Santos, and the reading of excerpts from the book by Guilherme Mussane.
José Pastor was born in Nampula in 1954, and died in Maputo in 1993. He was a teacher in Cuba in Mozambican schools at Isla de la Juventud, and after his return to his homeland he continued teaching at the Secondary School of Nwachicoluane, Chókwè, moving later to Maputo where he worked as an administrator. He was also a cultural activist, theater director, poet and short story writer.
