LAM reintroduces passenger assistance on the ground

As part of its efforts to recover the sustainability of the company, Mozambique Airlines has reintroduced a ground handling service for passengers, initially available at Maputo International Airport.

"LAM is in a process of reform and there is an understanding that its services are tending to improve. From what we were able to see during our interaction with passengers, the service (Care Team) is making it much easier for them to move around the airport," said the Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications, Amilton Alissone.

The government official visited the company with the aim of finding out about all the reforms underway following Fly Modern Ark's intervention in the management of Mozambique Airlines.

"Let's all embrace this cause, the reform of our flagship company is an objective of the government and a desire of all Mozambicans so that we have a more reliable, safer company that offers quality services at attractive costs," he added.

The manager of the Care Team Project explained that LAM wants to better guide users of the various services at the airports.

"We have, for example, passengers who have never had the experience of flying and need to know how to check in or distinguish between economy and business class, have notions of priorities in service, in the case of the elderly, pregnant women, the disabled, among other situations," she explained.
