HCB holds VI edition of the Songo Festival

HCB realiza VI edição do Songo Festival

The Hydroelectric of Cahora Bassa, (HCB) will hold on June 25, in Songo Village, the VI edition of the Songo Festival.

This is an event of cultural manifestation and gastronomy, which involves demonstrations of traditional dances typical of the district of Cahora Bassa and its surroundings, with particular emphasis on the Mafue, Djitey, Njole and Santsi, and other cultural manifestations.

According to the communiqué sent to our office, the initiative is part of the commemorations of the 47th anniversary of HCB's creation, and of the 15th anniversary celebrations of the HCB's reversion to the Mozambican state.

The Songo Festival, which has been held since 2015, is a cultural promotion event at the Cahora Bassa district level, which aims to contribute to the development, dynamization and immortalization of local culture.
