Mozambican internationals Guima, Mexer and goalkeeper Ernani are the big casualties for the national team's double-header against Eswathini, matches in the third and fourth rounds of the qualifying phase for the African Football Championship, CAN 2025.

Both players are injured and will miss the two games against Eswatini. Ernani, on the other hand, will only miss the first game due to yellow accumulation, a scenario that would also apply to Guima if he were fit, as he also has yellow accumulation.

To fill Guima's place, national coach Chiquinho Conde called up Ferroviário da Beira midfielder and captain João Bonde. As for Mexer, the coach has not yet announced who will replace him.
