Government evaluates possible scenarios for the payment of the 13th salary

Governo avalia possíveis cenários para o pagamento do 13º salário

After the government stated that it would not pay the 13th salary due to lack of money, through former Finance Minister Adriano Maleiane, today the government is studying possible scenarios to solve the problem.

"The government has assessed the situation regarding the payment of the 13th salary for civil servants and pensioners. The government noted the difficulties of its immediate materialization, taking into account the negative impacts on revenue collection as a result of the disturbances resulting from the violent demonstrations and the destruction of public and private property," the document reads.

Meanwhile, the government says it will continue to evaluate possible scenarios for the payment of the 13th salary to civil servants and pensioners.

"This won't be the first experience. There have already been referenced experiences that the government has created and found alternatives of partial payment, payments by groups, among other measures," said the spokesman for the Council of Ministers, Inocêncio Impissa.

Meanwhile, civil servants have already warned the government that if the 13th salary is not paid, they will stop all civil service activities from Monday.
