Geny Catamo rubrica acordo histórico com Sporting até 2029

What was speculation has now become fact. Mozambican international Geny Catamo has just signed the longest contract in Sporting's squad until 2029.

The salary review and a clause raised to 60 million euros show the club's confidence in his potential.

Rubem Amorim, Sporting's coach, highlights not only the present, but also the promising future of the Mozambican winger.

According to the newspaper "A Bola" Geny Catamo has signed a contract with the lions valid until 2029, the longest in the current squad. In addition to an express salary increase, previously one of the lowest, he is about to be protected by a 60 million euro clause. The deal is sealed and the official announcement will be made in the next few days, according to the Portuguese press.

These figures underline the firm commitment to the 22-year-old Mozambican winger, who, after overcoming obstacles in his journey since his first steps at the Maxaquene club, has now reached the desired level.

With the contract sealed, negotiations are now underway to fully acquire Geny's contract from Amora. Currently holding only 25%, the club is negotiating the remaining part, possibly closing the deal in the next few days for up to 3 million euros.
