Frelimo's Political Commission asked for the population's collaboration in paying the tolls as a way of helping to improve the roads.
The appeal was made this Wednesday by the spokesperson for Frelimo's Political Commission, Ludmila Magune, after an ordinary session of that body.
Ludmila justifies that the payment of tolls is a strategic element in the road improvement plan, with a view to facilitating the movement of people and goods.
He said that the fees collected from these units are earmarked for the construction, rehabilitation and maintenance of access roads, ensuring their durability, quality and sustainability.
In this sense, it calls on all stakeholders to collaborate to ensure its full operation.
Rede Viária de Moçambique (REVIMO) had already announced the resumption of toll payments in all the plazas under its management for Monday (27), but the population is refusing to pay.
The population says that they are following the order announced by the former presidential candidate, Venâncio Mondlane, according to which the tolls should only be paid after three months, that is, on April 27.
