As of yesterday, 25 countries had confirmed their participation in the 58th edition of the Maputo International Trade Fair (FACIM), five more than last year.

In terms of company numbers, it is estimated that around 450 foreign companies will be present at the event, compared to 350 in 2022, according to figures released yesterday at the launch of the event by the Minister of Industry and Trade, Silvino Moreno.

At a national level, the source said that 2060 companies had been registered, compared to 1750 in the previous edition, and that the number of visitors remained at 50,000.

The 58th edition of FACIM is organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade through the Agency for the Promotion of Investments and Exports, IP, and is due to take place from 28 August to 3 September in the district of Marracuene, Maputo province.
