RENAMO's national headquarters has once again been taken over by former guerrillas and party members who are demanding the resignation of Ossufo Momade and other leading figures.
On Monday, the members contesting the leadership took over the National Headquarters in Maputo and promised not to leave until they received a response from the party on several questions, one of which was the holding of an Ordinary National Council for combatants.
Fed up with the leadership of the current Renamo president, Ossufo Momade, for not complying with the party's statutes, the former guerrillas are talking about the possible closure of the party's national headquarters and consequently the provincial political offices.
And more. The guerrillas accuse Ossufo Momade of having sent his security guards to remove them from Renamo's national headquarters.
