The 31-year-old Mozambican basketball player, Leia Dongue, will now represent the French basketball club Landerneau Bretagne Basket.
Leia Dongue recently terminated her contract with the Spanish club Kutxabank Araski, to which she had been linked since 2021, where she was considered the seventh best scorer and tenth in rebounds in the Endesa Women's League.
The French club announced the hiring of the Mozambican post on its website. And, in this signing window, Leia Dongue will have been the second player to arrive at the club after Laura Évrard, a 17-year-old French athlete.
The French club highlighted Tanucha's stints in the extinct Muslim League, before representing, in Angola, Primeiro de Agosto, club in which her compatriots Tamara Seda and Onélia Mutombene evolve.
No less important was the year 2018, when Leia left the African continent to represent Girona of Spain, where she was national champion, and then moved to Campus Promete, still in Spain. In 2020, she arrived at Nantes Rezé Basket, where she obtained her best rating of her career (30).
