José Eduardo dos Santos' health condition is irreversible according to the Spanish cardiologist who follows the former president of the Republic of Angola at the Teknon clinic in Barcelona, Spain.

According to Jornal de Negócios, quoted by Correio da Manhã, the specialist has already informed the family that José Eduardo dos Santos will not wake up from his coma.

Given the clinical picture presented, it is now up to the family to decide what to do. Eduardo dos Santos' eldest children have been in disagreement with his wife, Ana Paula dos Santos, and the Angolan government itself.

Tchizé dos Santos, daughter of the former Angolan president, presented, on Monday, complaint to the Spanish authorities for the crimes of attempted murder, omission of the duty of care, injury by serious negligence and disclosure of secrets by people close to her father. The complaint is against José Eduardo dos Santos' wife, Ana Paula dos Santos, and João Afonso, his personal physician.
