It's getting easier to handle ID

The Civil Identification Services responsible for issuing Identity Cards (BI) are setting up mobile brigades for schools, neighborhoods, and public institutions, all over the country.

The most recent case is the Civil Identification Service of the City of Xai-Xai, in Gaza province, which according to the spokesperson for the Provincial Civil Identification Service, Flávio Tomás Massango, has already identified some locations for this purpose.

The first brigades will be located at Patrice Lumumba Primary School, Josina Machel Secondary School, Inhamissa Secondary School, Marien Ngouabi Secondary School and Chinuguine Secondary School.

The brigades will start operating this fortnight and will be used to issue and survey the ID.

On the other hand, Massango is concerned about the fact that many citizens do not pick up their IDs, so he said that a campaign is underway to mobilize citizens in the communities in order to remedy the situation.

The official also said that the sector will introduce, as of now, a new ID card, which is only used to collect the ticket, unlike the current one, which was also used to handle other matters. The new ticket will contain only the citizen's name, date of birth and filiation.
