The capture of surface shrimp and mangrove crab will be prohibited from November 1 until December 31, to allow the recovery, maintenance and ensuring the sustainable exploitation of fisheries resources throughout the Mozambican coast, said official source.
The general director of the National Administration of Fisheries in the Ministry of Sea, Inland Waters and Fisheries, Cassamo Júnior, said quoted by "Notícias" that the period of prohibition there will be a close monitoring of offenders, both domestic and foreign.
It should be noted that the government has regularly decreed closed seasons for the mangrove crab fishery and closed and closed seasons for the surface shrimp.
