Post-election crisis: Chapo hopes the next few days will be calm

Crise pós eleitoral: Chapo espera que os próximos dias sejam calmos

Less than three days before his inauguration, President-elect Daniel Chapo hopes that the next few days will be calm, given the wave of demonstrations that have characterized the country over the last three months in repudiation of the election results.

Daniel Chapo also used the media to appeal to Mozambicans to preserve peace and social, political and economic stability in the country.

The solemn inauguration ceremony will take place in Independence Square, Maputo City, on Wednesday, January 15, in a tense atmosphere, as the presidential candidate in the October 9 elections, Venâncio Mondlane, has called for peaceful demonstrations on the days of the inauguration.
