Russian authorities on Friday detained a Russian soldier accused of raping a one-year-old Ukrainian baby girl and then sharing the video of the crime on social media.
The serviceman, identified as Alexei Bychkov, is 24 years old, belongs to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, and was stationed in the Russian military contingent in the Pskov region participating in the war in Ukraine.
The arrest occurred moments after Alexei Bychkov shared the video with a friend, who immediately took steps to report it to the Russian authorities.
In the video, described by some Twitter insiders, Alexei claims to be recording a 'fierce video', and begins by rubbing an eyelash makeup brush between the baby's buttocks, which he then licks.
Bychkov made other videos that show him sexually violating other children. These videos have also been shared on social media.
On April 8, the Ukrainian Parliament's Commissioner for Human Rights, Lyudmila Denisova, said that Russian soldiers have abducted more than 120,000 Ukrainian children.
In Bucha, a 14-year-old girl became pregnant after being raped by five soldiers. In Irpin, meanwhile, an 11-year-old boy was subjected to sexual abuse in front of his mother, who was tied to a chair.
