The spokesman for the National Electoral Commission (CNE) assures that 90 % of voting materials have been produced and have started arriving in the country for the October 9 ballot without any problems.
Paulo Cuinica, who was speaking at a press conference on the state of preparations for the general elections on October 9 in Maputo, explained that the procurement of the materials in South Africa is at the final stage, which will also include their distribution throughout the country before the date of the vote.
"The acquisition and production of voting materials is underway and in its final phase. This activity includes the logistics of distribution throughout Portugal and abroad until the date of the vote," he said, quoted by "Notícias".
"We have a team from STAE and CNE in South Africa to ensure the safety and effectiveness of this work," he said.
The CNE also announced that the training of the MMVs is at its final stage."By October 4, we expect to have trained around 184,310 MMVs to serve the 26,330 tables throughout the country. Of this figure, 602 tables in the diaspora will have 2014 MMVs," he said.
