The spokesman for the National Electoral Commission (CNE) says that there are parties that are already campaigning before the time set by law, which is 45 days before the elections.

Paulo Cuinica was quoted by "O Pais" as saying that such a practice constitutes an electoral offense punishable by law.

The CNE spokesman did not name names, but said he already had evidence of some of the movements of the political groupings, so he called on them to stop campaigning at the risk of being sanctioned.
