An individual was arrested by PRM in the city of Nampula on charges of murdering a friend by throwing a rock at his head.

The crime took place in the Muhaivire neighborhood and has the dispute over roasted peanuts as its motif.

According to the police, after committing the crime the defendant was on the run.

The police authorities learned of the case through a complaint made by relatives of the finado, and immediately took the appropriate steps that culminated with the arrest of the individual now incarcerated at the 2nd Precinct.

The PRM condemns acts of taking the law into one's own hands and calls for any dispute to be resolved by legal means.
