Ciclone Jude: Processo de recuperação custa 3,5 milhões de dólares

To recover from the damage caused by tropical cyclone Jude and support the people in the center and north of the country, 3.5 million dollars are needed, according to the Camp Coordination and Camp Management Cluster (CCCM), led by the United Nations.

"The CCCM requires 3.5 million dollars in funding to effectively implement (...) life-saving interventions and support the recovery process [of the affected provinces]," reads a report from that global humanitarian coordination mechanism, co-led by the International Organization for Migration and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

Cyclone Jude entered the country on March 10, through the district of Mossuril, in Nampula province, and has so far caused at least 16 deaths and affected 384,877 people in Tete, Manica and Zambézia, in the center, and Niassa and Cabo Delgado, in the north.

According to the CCCM, quoted by "Notícias", the funding requested aims to support more than 136,000 people, ensuring better local coordination, access to services and community involvement.
