The national coach of the Mambas, Chiquinho Conde, is among the 50 coaches of the continent's various national teams taking part in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Coaches Symposium, which is being held in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

Chiquinho Conde joins other well-known coaches on the continent, including Emerse Faé, who was responsible for Côte d'Ivoire winning the CAN-2023, José Peseiro, former Nigeria coach, Avram Grant (Zambia) and Sébastien Desabre (DR Congo).

The event aims to analyze the performance of the national teams at CAN-2023, which took place in January in Côte d'Ivoire. The symposium will also promote in-depth discussions on the legacy of the competition and the lasting impact of African soccer on the world stage.

It will also serve as an opportunity for coaches to share experiences and explore new approaches to improving the performance of African teams.

For Chiquinho Conde, who arrived in Abidjan on Wednesday evening, this initiative is vital for the future of soccer on the continent. "CAF is creating a unique space for coaches from all over the continent to come together and discuss the future of African soccer," notes the national coach.

Conde also believes that the symposium is an important step towards improving the national teams and raising the competitive level of African soccer, so "I'm very excited to be taking part and I hope to learn a lot from my colleagues' experiences," said the coach.

The Mozambican coach also highlighted the importance of the legacy left by CAN 2023. "The last edition was historic and served as a benchmark for all of us. It's essential that we discuss the lessons learned and, above all, find ways to transform that success into constant improvements in African soccer," explains Chiquinho Conde. (O País)
