Chapo promises to fight pollution in Moatize

Chapo promete combater a poluição em Moatize

Yesterday morning, Frelimo presidential candidate Daniel Chapo addressed a rally in Moatize, Tete province.

During the rally, he promised to work towards resolving one of the population's major concerns, which has to do with the pollution caused by coal mining companies.

Quoted in the "Notícias" publication, he explained that he will use his accumulated experience from Palma and Inhambane to resolve the dispute between the population and the companies that exploit natural resources.

Chapo also said that if he wins the elections, he will persuade the companies that exploit the resources not only in Moatize, but also throughout the country, so that the resulting revenues return to the places where they are extracted, through the construction of social infrastructure, namely hospitals, roads, water and energy supplies.

He stressed that he had returned to Tete and Moatize to once again present his electoral manifesto proposal, embodied in the preservation of peace and national unity, the fight against terrorism, the construction of more infrastructure to develop the country and improve the living conditions of the population.
