The Confederation of African Football is sending a team of inspectors to assess the state of the ENZ turf on site, according to a press release from the Mozambican Football Federation.
"This mission follows the detailed report submitted by the FMF to CAF, in which the evolution of the pitch and other technical aspects were highlighted," reads the FMF statement.
Thus, after analyzing the document, "the governing body of African soccer decided to carry out an inspection on the ground to verify the current conditions of the stadium," the FMF statement said.
The FMF also says that it is eagerly following the process in the hope that the ENZ will be approved to host the match between Mozambique and Uganda next March, in the fifth round of group G qualifying for the World Cup.
