Cabo Delgado: Ataques terroristas deixam mais de 32 mil famílias  deslocadas só este ano

More than thirty-two thousand families have been displaced in Cabo Delgado due to the terrorist attacks since January this year, official sources said.

The attacks were recorded in the districts of Chiúre, Ancuabe, Mecúfi, Metuge, Macomia, Mocímboa da praia, Quissanga and Ibo, where some families had to leave their home areas and look for places considered safe, both inside and outside Cabo Delgado, according to Radio Mocambique.

Figures released yesterday during the meeting of the Emergency Operational Committee in Pemba indicate that INGD, in partnership with the WFP, assisted more than 55,000 families during the period in question.

Meanwhile, the Secretary of State in Cabo Delgado province, António Supeia, said that the government and its partners will continue to provide food support to families who have lost everything as a result of the terrorist actions.
