WB says country needs reforms to ensure economic recovery

BM diz que o País precisa de reformas para garantir recuperação económica

The Governor of the Bank of Mozambique says that the country needs to implement several reforms to ensure a rapid recovery of the economy after the violent demonstrations.

Rogério Zandamela says that at the moment it is not possible to estimate the time needed for the country to return to its previous level of economic development.

The Governor stressed, however, that with the end of the violent demonstrations, the foundations have been laid for the resumption of economic development.

Zandamela was speaking this Wednesday in Maputo during a press conference where he announced the Bank of Mozambique's Monetary Policy measures.
