Reinildo Mandava's Atlético de Madrid lost 2-4 to Barcelona on Sunday in the twenty-eighth round of the Spanish League.
With the Mozambican international playing 90 minutes and making his 100th appearance for the club, Atlético were leading by two goals until the 70th minute, when Barcelona turned the game around.
With this result, the Colchoneros occupy third place with 56 points, four less than leaders Barcelona and Real Madrid.
In the next round, Atlético de Madrid take on Espanyol, while leaders Barcelona meet Girona.
It should be noted that Reinildo Mandava could join the Mambas in Egypt for the match against Uganda in the final round of the first qualifying round for the 2026 World Cup.
