Fidelidade Moçambique, Companhia de Seguros, SA has once again had its financial strength reaffirmed by the international rating agency AM Best.
The agency maintained its rating of "B" (Fair) for the Financial Strength Rating and "bb" (Fair) for the Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating. The outlook for both ratings remains stable.
This continued recognition by AM Best reflects Fidelidade Moçambique's solid position in the national market, being the second largest insurer in terms of gross premiums written in 2023.
The company stands out for its strong risk-adjusted capitalization, rated the highest by AM Best, which demonstrates the resilience of its financial structure, even in a challenging economic environment in Mozambique.
For the Executive Director of Fidelidade Moçambique, Curratilaine Remane, "the reaffirmation of the Insurer's ratings by AM Best is proof of the resilience and effectiveness of the company's risk management strategy".
"We are committed to continuing to serve our customers with the same dedication and quality that has brought us this far," he added.
AM Best also recognizes the strength of Fidelidade Moçambique's operating results, with a five-year weighted average combined ratio of 81.7% and a return on equity of 15.1%.
The inclusion of the health branch since 2022 has brought new challenges, but the Insurer has managed to adapt to the inflationary context and the increase in utilization post-pandemic, maintaining a positive performance.
In order to achieve these results, the Executive Director of Fidelidade Moçambique also highlights the importance of the balance between innovation and tradition.
"We are continually innovating our products and services, but without ever forgetting our commitment to quality and the trust we have built up over the years.
This recognition is a reflection of our commitment to contributing to the sustainable development of Mozambique," said Curratilaine Remane.
Fidelidade Moçambique continues to expand its presence in the country, standing out for its commitment to the social and economic development of the communities where it operates.
