At least 11 people have died on Mozambican roads in a week, victims of 12 road accidents, including five crashes and four hit-and-runs, police sources say.
The accidents, which also caused serious injuries to six citizens and 19 minor injuries, took place between January 18 and 24. Extensive material damage was also recorded as a result of the accidents.
The Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM) points to excessive speed and irregular overtaking as the main causes of accidents in the country. (Source: AIM)
