One person died and 31 others were injured as a result of four road accidents during the turn of the year in the district of Magude, Maputo province.
The administrator of Magude, Lázaro Mbambamba, was quoted by Rádio Moçambique as saying that the death resulted from a collision between a motorcycle and a fixed obstacle.
Mbambamba explained that 16 of the injured were discharged from hospital, eight are under observation, one was transferred to Xinavane Rural Hospital and three to Maputo Central Hospital, due to the seriousness of the injuries.
