"What women do differently when they reach the top in the leadership of large companies" was the theme of the event held on Thursday, May 2, by Access Bank Mozambique.
Among the Bank's clients and employees, the meeting brought together more than 50 women and featured speakers Glayds Gande, Senior Manager of Business Consulting at Ernst & Young and Vice-President of New Faces New Voices (NFNV); Clara Neves, Executive Director of Be Bold; Carmen Mogne, Acting Director of Enterprise Business Support (EBS) and Project Management Office (PMO), and Sheila Langa, Head of Finance, Tax, Costs and Regulatory Reporting at Access Bank Mozambique.
During the event, essential topics for women's growth and success were debated, such as financial inclusion and training in leadership positions, as well as strategies for women to excel professionally.
The speakers shared their own experiences, defended the important role that women play in society and pointed out the many challenges that still need to be overcome in order to occupy leadership positions. The lack of representation, gender stereotypes and professional barriers were also topics under discussion.
During the session, the acting Director of EBS and PMO, Carmen Mogne, said that "a he journey of women to reach leadership positions can be challenging, but it is essential to persist and never give up on your goals." "I encourage all women to believe in their potential, to raise their voices and to support each other to to inspire the next generations of women", said the person in charge.
The Managing Director of Access Bank Mozambique, Marco Abalroado, argues that "initiatives like this are a reflection of the Bank's commitment to diversity and the inclusion of women in leadership positions". "We recognize the value of women in leadership and are committed to promoting an inclusive and diverse environment," he said.
Access Bank affirms its commitment to continuing to promote numerous actions linked to female empowerment.
This initiative is also part of the commitment and support that Access Bank has given to various projects for the inclusion of women in society and in business.
