Access Bank Mozambique's newest branch was inaugurated yesterday on Avenida Julius Nyerere in Maputo city.
The branch replaces another on the same avenue. This is the Bank's 11th branch since it set up in Mozambique in 2020, thus strengthening its presence throughout the country.
The ceremony was attended by the representative of the Secretary of State for Maputo, Maria Helena Checo.
According to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Access Bank Mozambique, Rogério Samo Gudo, the Bank reaffirms "its commitment to continue promoting the development of the national banking system and financial inclusion in line with the growing needs of the population, in various areas of social intervention".
The Bank's CEO also reinforced his commitment "to ever closer contact with the communities where it operates, bringing adapted and innovative products and services to the whole country".
For Access Bank's Managing Director, Marco Abalroado, the new space, "larger and better equipped, is located in an economically strategic area of the capital, to facilitate the expansion and improvement of financial services to customers".
"We are taking an even firmer stance in supporting the country's industrial and commercial development, while at the same time becoming better equipped to guarantee assistance to small and medium-sized enterprises," he said.
As part of the process of expanding its banking network and improving service provision, Access Bank Mozambique will, in the coming months, relocate and inaugurate new branches in other provinces of the country, namely in Tete and Nampula.
"Our aim is to support all sectors of economic activity based on our local and international experience, providing tailor-made solutions from a comprehensive perspective, taking into account the needs of our clients, as well as their ecosystems, from their suppliers to their employees," Marco Abalroado added.
With a strong commitment to digitalization and product modernization, Access Bank is recognized for the quality of services provided to its customers on its digital platforms, namely Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, USSD cards and, soon, Facebook and WhatsApp Banking.
