Absa Bank was named by the Global Banking & Finance Review as the Best Place to Work in 2023, thus reinforcing its position as a Bank of People for People and an employer of choice.

This recognition is the result of investment in the quality of the working environment, in diversity, in the implementation of flexible working policies, in culture, in continuous promotion plans to ensure staff retention, while also ensuring gender balance, since for three consecutive years 50% of its staff have been women and currently the top leadership is mostly made up of women.

Contributing to this award was the fact that, even after the pandemic, Absa maintained hybrid working models in the functions that allowed it to do so, ensuring that its people had all the working conditions and tools to be able to carry out their tasks without needing to be in the office.

As well as its constant concern to improve its value proposition to employees, which goes beyond preferential conditions in terms of credit pricing and training.

The Bank is also concerned about the family, with maternity and paternity leave longer than that provided for by law, a medical and medication assistance system, as well as social, legal and psychological support for employees and their families, through partnerships with specialized entities, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
