Mozambique strengthens defense cooperation with France and Egypt

Moçambique fortalece cooperação com França e Egipto na defesa

Mozambique wants to strengthen bilateral cooperation with France and Egypt in the defense sector. To this end, the Minister of National Defense, Cristóvão Chume, received the ambassadors of France and Egypt in his office today.

"The mission has provided support to the Armed Defense Forces of Mozambique (FADM) through training and the supply of non-lethal equipment, in the context of the fight against terrorism," said Yann Pradeu, French ambassador quoted by "Notícias"

For his part, Mohamed Hassan Rafaat Aly Farghal, Egypt's ambassador to Mozambique, reiterated his country's willingness to continue offering training courses in the field of Defense and to strengthen cooperation with the Civic Service of Mozambique in economic areas of common interest.

For his part, Chume thanked the two countries for their continued collaboration and made his technical team available to further develop cooperation priorities.
