Gaza/ Flooding: Seven roads impassable

Gaza/ Inundações: Sete estradas intransitáveis

In the southern province of Gaza, seven roads are currently impassable due to the overflow of the Limpopo River, caused by floodwaters from upstream countries.

These are the Nhacanine/Nalaze, Mohambe/Maqueze, Chicaualacuala/Pafúri, Alto Changane/ Maqueze, Mapai/Pafúri, Caniçado/Chibvongoene and Caniçado/Chinhacanine roads, which in addition to the river overflowing, have become impassable due to the heavy rain in some districts of the province, according to Rádio Moçambique.

The information was made known this Thursday by the Head of the Planning Department at the National Roads Administration (ANE) in Gaza.

The official stressed that the fourth wave of flooding had worsened the deterioration of the province's road network, after the first, when some roads were already passable.
