Gaza: Rain interrupts traffic on two stretches

Gaza: Chuvas interrompem circulação em dois troços

Gaza, the Ndonga-Ndindiza section, which connects the two towns, is impassable due to the flooding of the platform at km 25. The same scenario occurs on the Chinhacanine-Nalazi section, whose connection between the town of Mbala-Vala and the village of Majumisse is interrupted due to the cut at km 34+700.

In a statement quoted by "O País", the National Roads Administration explains that technical teams from the Gaza Provincial Delegation are on the ground monitoring the situation and assessing the damage.

It says that work is underway to ensure accessibility, while equipment and materials are being mobilized to repair the damage to these roads.

ANE appeals to and recommends that road users in general plan their journeys and transport people and goods, taking extra precautions during the rainy season and in places with poor visibility. This is particularly important in flooded areas and when approaching drainage structures, bridges, pontoons, aqueducts and drifts, among others.

In the same note, ANE also calls for "vehicles weighing more than 10 tons not to be driven in rainy weather on dirt roads and recommends monitoring the information disseminated by the competent authorities".
