Polícia sul-africana investiga moçambicanos suspeitos de se terem evadido da Cadeia Central de Maputo

The South African police are continuing to investigate the case of the two Mozambicans arrested last Sunday who are believed to be part of the group of inmates who escaped from Maputo Central Prison last December.

According to Rádio Moçambique, the two Mozambicans were arrested in Malelane, about 143 kilometers from the city of Maputo.

When they were questioned, they did not have any identification or travel documents.

Donald Mdhluli, spokesperson for the Mpumalanga Police, revealed that as these are suspected jail breakers, the South African authorities are already in contact with internal and external bodies, including INTERPOL and the South African Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation.
