Overtime payments for teachers and health professionals will be made on time from 2025.
The information was provided by the spokesman for the Council of Ministers, Filimão Suazi, on Tuesday afternoon, at the end of the 37th Ordinary Session.
According to the source, actions are underway to establish control measures to ensure that the hours worked in a month are paid in a timely manner, within the limits of the existing budget in the organic units.
Suazi also said that the government has prioritized the payment of salaries and other supplements, leaving overtime liabilities subject to verification and validation by the Finance, Education and Health inspectorates.
As for the impacts of cyclone chido, the government says it has deployed teams to the provinces that were worst hit, especially Cabo Delgado and Nampula.
