RENAMO's political delegate in Maputo city, Domingos Gundana, said that RENAMO members - and others - have the right to join the protests taking place throughout the country, since "they belong to the people and not to a party".

Speaking to journalists, Gundana also said that whatever the Constitutional Council says on the 23rd, nothing should justify more bloodshed, pointing out that this allegedly fraudulent process is the reason for the popular uprising.
