A man of Chinese nationality was arrested by the police after he tried to shoot at a group of protesters who intercepted his car to stop him from driving away, according to "O País".

 The event took place in downtown Maputo City, on 25 de Setembro and Filipe Samuel Magaia avenues.

The demonstrators surrounded the Chinese citizen's car and demanded that he not continue his journey.

Outraged, the man pulled out a gun, but was immediately immobilized by the demonstrators.

At the same time, police officers who were nearby detained the Chinese citizen and took him to the first police station
