Internet back but no explanation of restrictions

Internet de volta mas sem explicações sobre restrições

People are back "connected" after the one-day restriction on mobile internet services that took place from 1pm on Friday until this morning.

However, no operator has yet explained the restriction on mobile data services. Nor has the National Communications Institute given any explanation of what has happened.

What is certain is that the "country" was without internet for a few hours. Several services were affected. It wasn't possible to send or receive emails, access social networks, let alone carry out operations using mobile internet.

Curiously, the internet was canceled at a time when demonstrations were intensifying in Mozambique. People are protesting against the poor governance of the ruling party, electoral fraud and assassinations.

Led by Venâncio Mondlane, the presidential candidate, the demonstrations are now in their third day. They have been called through social networks and widely shared using internet services.
