After appealing the decision that put Maxaquene out of the qualifying pool, a new decision by the Football Licensing Commission's Appeals Body puts the "tricolores" in contention for access to Moçambola 2025.
This Thursday, the Appeals Body announced in a document that it had upheld the tricolores' appeal. And in this sense, Maxaquene is accredited to compete for access to Moçambola, in the southern zone.
The club led by Abreu Muianga had been excluded from the qualifying round allegedly because it had not met the licensing requirements.
The start of the qualifying phase for the biggest national soccer competition is scheduled for this Saturday in all three parts of the country.
With the draw having been made, Maxaquene will occupy position two of series B, said a source from the Mozambican Football Federation quoted by "O País."
It's a happy ending for one of the historic clubs in Mozambican soccer that wants to fight to return to the biggest Mozambican soccer competition.
