Absa Bank Mozambique is holding the 8th edition of its program Ready to WorkThis year it aims to reach 5,000 more young people across the country.
For the first time, in 2024, the program will expand to the central region, in the provinces of Manica, Sofala, Zambézia and Tete, marking a significant milestone in the training of Mozambican youth in these provinces.
Through strategic partnerships with renowned regional universities, Absa strengthens the impact of the program, ensuring that young people in the regions served have direct access to essential resources for their professional preparation. These collaborations make it easier to offer workshops and practical sessions, allowing for an immersive learning experience.
Partnerships with local universities have also made it possible to better adapt the program to the specific needs of young people and to make the opportunity more widely known to the target audience. These institutions collaborate in the co-creation of content and offer logistical support, ensuring that the sessions are accessible and relevant.
Tânia Oliveira, Head of Marketing and Corporate Relations at Absa Bank Moçambique said that "Ready to Work has consolidated itself year after year as a milestone for Mozambican youth. The expansion of the program to the central region and direct collaboration with universities has taken us to new heights, placing us on the path of young people committed to transforming their career paths."
Since its launch in 2016, the Ready to Work program has trained more than 18,000 young people, offering free training in crucial areas such as Interpersonal Skills Development, Communication, Financial Management and Business Skills, preparing participants for a smoother transition from academic life to a professional career.
In addition to the face-to-face sessions in the provinces of central Mozambique, the program is also available online, ensuring that interested young people in other regions of the country can be reached. All the information about the program can be found on the Bank's social networks.
In the future, Absa plans to further expand the program's reach to include all the regions where it operates, with all its branches serving as support and promotion points.
