Fátima Mimbire apresentada como candidata a governadora na província de Maputo

Fátima Mimbire was presented yesterday as the head of the list of the Democratic Movement of Mozambique (MDM) for governor of Maputo province.

In her first interaction with potential voters, the candidate for governor of Maputo province promised to provide jobs for young people if she wins the election.

"We have enough resources to give a dignified life to our province, which is rich in natural resources to generate income from tourism. It's the fastest growing province in the country, which means we have many needs and challenges," he said, as quoted by the newspaper O País.

In education, Mimbire listed four points: children should no longer study outside, and resources will be mobilized to build more classrooms; evening classes for adults in public schools should continue; the collection of guard fees should end in public schools; and the demand for police protection of schools".

"We have plans linked to industrialization, the equipping of schools, agricultural production, technical and professional training for young people and women so that they can develop job creation skills, and we are also thinking about lines of financing for young people in a more innovative way."

Mimbire was presented this Friday by the president of the Democratic Movement of Mozambique, Lutero Simango in Malhampsene in the municipality of Matola.
