Former ANC President Thabo Mbeki says the party took the right approach in calling his successor, Jacob Zuma, to the National Disciplinary Committee, writes "O País".
According to Mbeki, Zuma committed an act of indiscipline, and therefore he should indeed appear before a disciplinary committee.
It should be noted that Jacob Zuma, who is now leader of the uMkhonto weSizwe Party, is due to appear before a disciplinary hearing next Tuesday.
Thabo Mbeki is currently campaigning in the greater Tshwane region ahead of the May 29 elections in an attempt to secure ANC votes.
