The president of the Maputo City Council, Eneas Comiche, is inaugurating the auto silo at the Central Market today, according to a press release.
The infrastructure has three floors and parking capacity for 440 vehicles, as well as housing more than 300 stalls and nine stores, according to a press release from the municipality.
The inauguration ceremony will be attended by the ministers of Transport and Communications and of Public Works, Housing and Water Resources, city councillors and municipal directors.
In recent years the city of Maputo has been facing serious problems when it comes to car parking, with motorists often having to use the sidewalks to park their vehicles.
